Keep Fido out of your purse!
Recent studies are showing a major no-no in gum for dogs!  This is a relatively new player in the world of pet poisons. Not all chewing gum is toxic. However, several popular brands contain a sweetener called xylitol.  Xylitol can cause dangerously low blood sugar in dogs. It also has been linked to liver damage. It's recommended that pets never be allowed access to any poisons. However, please be especially careful with the . Dogs are more likely than cats to be exposed to each of these poisons because they are less selective about what they eat. Click Here for the local listings of Veterinary doctors and ER's

Brook's Recap & Bachelorette Babbles......
The Bachelorette has completely sucked me in.  It's like when I had my first sip of soda...gimme more!  So far my top five are holding out for the most part, with the exception of Fred and Ron.  Both men have been sent home.  Now we are stuck between super cute sporty sweet guy Graham, Mr. Never a hair out of place, I'm emotional Jeremy and the Superstar Single dad who's not hard on the eyes either Jason.  Which will she pick?  She will be visiting their hometowns this next week.  My money is on Graham for the final rose!!

(UPDATE)  Ok..so Graham was sent home this week.  I didn't think I would get so attached to people I had never met.  I think I almost cried!  *sniff sniff*  My thoughts are Jason or Jeremy now...I think Jesse is next!

George Carlin Dies at Age 71
Sad news in the world of Comedy and Entertainment.  George Carlin died this past weekend due to heart failure.  He was amazingly witty and funny and just plain told it like it is.  There was a fabulous write on him in the NY Times  see the article here

Nashville Star: Monday on NBC!
Billy Ray Cyrus will ho
st and John Rich, Jewel & Jeffrey Steele will be judging the 12 finalists.  One of the finalists is Ashlee Hewitt from Lancaster, MN!  So  far, not so bad.  I still think that the competition, talentwise, is better on American Idol.  Although the blunt honesty from all 3 judges on Nashville Star is really refreshing!

Sara Evans Wedding Details and Photos!
Country singer Sara Evans gave PEOPLE a first look at her photo album from
her Saturday wedding to former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker. "It was a fairy-tale wedding," Evans, 37, tells PEOPLE.

It was also a family affair: Evans, in an ivory Vera Wang gown, was escorted down the grassy aisle at a Tennessee farm by her three children, son Avery, 8, and daughters Olivia, 5, and Audrey, 3.

Barker's kids – Andrew, 9, Braxton, 8, and twins Sarah Ashlee and Harrison, 6 – gave him away.

The day after the wedding, the Barker Bunch were back home, grilling steaks and watching movies together. "We wanted this week to be just us together as a family because next week we go on our honeymoon," says Evans. "We just want to relish every moment as a family."

Next up for Evans and her children is a move to Birmingham, Ala., where Barker, 35, works as a sports radio host. Says Barker: "I can't believe we get to spend the rest of our lives together."

For more wedding photos and details, pick up the new issue of PEOPLE on newsstands
